Uruguay
does not have a comprehensive chemical legislation under elaboration. Similar
to other countries, Uruguay has specific chemical regulations, i.e., a positive
list for food contact materials and regulations focused on mercury.
Nevertheless,
GHS standards are present in Uruguay through Decreto 307/2009, making the 4th
version mandatory since 2012 for substances, and 2017 for mixtures.
