The Agricultural and Veterinary Chemical Code (Agricultural Active Constituents) Standards 2022 (the Active Standards) have been amended by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA).
The amendments include:
Adding standards for new active constituents not previously covered.
Making minor corrections and adjustments to existing standards.
Implementing more substantial changes to standards for the common herbicide 2,4-D, based on a recent chemical review.
Updating the definition of a validated analytical method.
The APVMA released a draft of these changes for public comment in September 2022. The modifications became operative on May 9, 2024, the day the final instrument was registered.
